DIRECTIONS - It's pretty easy to get to the top of the canyon above this falls, but the climb down to the bottom is tricky. From I-90, drive north on FR-49 for a few miles. Turn left onto FR-4930 (signed for Rachel Lake) and then turn left again onto FR-4948. Follow it for 3 miles to the FR-4948-119 spur road. In 1/2 a mile, park at an overgrown spur road on the left. From here you're kind of on your own. Head into the woods towards the creek. You should come out right around the falls and then find a way to drop to the base.
Gale Creek Falls is an interesting waterfall located near Little Lake Kachess. The falls drop a total of 98' in height, beginning with 20' worth of cascades. The creek then drops 40' in a 15' wide horsetail. It then spreads out to maybe 25' tall and drops in several streams into a narrow crack between the cliff and an overhanging cliff that stands opposite the falls. It makes for a uniquely shaped waterfall. Add in the fact that the area is covered with flowers, and you have a really cool spot.
The only thing really difficult about getting to the falls is the final climb to the bottom (and finding your way through the maze of roads in the area).
