DIRECTIONS - Take HWY 20 east to the town of Newhalem and continue on about 4 miles past. The waterfall will be seen on the left side of the road and is pretty much impossible to miss when the creek is flowing well. There is a nice pullout on the right side of the road just east of the falls.
This pretty tiered waterfall can be seen right from Highway 20. You can scramble up the creek for a better view of the main drop but the road provides a great view as well. The main part of the waterfall stands 102' tall with an additional 50' or so worth of cascades below. As you can see, during the autumn the trees along the creek light up in oranges, reds, and yellows, making this a great autumn waterfall if you can catch it running at high volume.
