DIRECTIONS - Head out the Mountain Loop Highway past Granite Falls. Just after passing the Verlot Ranger Station, turn right onto FR 42 that heads up to the Mt. Pilchuck Trailhead. Heather Creek is the first major creek that is passed along the way, just past the Heather Lake Trailhead. The falls are to the left and can be seen from the road.

The first time we saw this falls, Heather Creek was raging through here. The pool at the bottom of the falls looked like a pot filled with boiling water, so I used to refer to it as Witch's Cauldron Falls. The waterfall is pretty when the creek is low, but I really advise checking it out during peak water level to fully appreciate it. While the waterfall is certainly nothing to get horribly excited about, it is a pretty area and the falls can easily be seen from the road.
