Wells Creek is created when four tributary creeks combine just above massive Mazama Falls. Each of these four creeks contains at least one waterfall. Alix Falls is a small volume waterfall where a tributary of Wells Creek drops 115' in a series of drops. The waterfall begins with 26' worth of cascades. It then drops over a pretty 25' tall fan shaped drop before collecting itself and plunging 24'. The waterfall finishes with 40' worth of stairstep cascades. The waterfall is located at the edge of the Wells Basin Meadows where the terrain turns from flowers and huckleberries to barren rocks and ruin. In waterfall naming tradition, I've named this one Alix Falls after my niece.
