DIRECTIONS - Take the Park Butte trail from the end of FR 13. In about 1.5 miles, take the right fork onto the Scott Paul Trail in the woods. Follow this trail for another half mile to the suspension bridge over Rocky Creek. The falls are an easy 2/3 of a mile upstream from the bridge and are reached by rock-hopping upstream. The falls can also be seen from Railroad Grade but they aren't very exciting from there.
Easton Falls occurs on the major work of Rocky Creek that flows from the Easton Glacier between Railroad Grade and the Metcalfe Moraine. Rocky Creek encounters a small, crumbly cliff and plunges 23' to the loose rocks below. My pictures were taken in the morning, so the volume of the creek is fairly small. At higher volume, the falls spread out to about 15' wide and make a nice curtain of water. The falls can be reached fairly easily by following Rocky Creek upstream from the Scott Paul Trail. This trip is easy and enjoyable so it's worth a little side trip if you're in the area. The falls can also be seen from the Railroad Grade Trail looking down into the Rocky Creek drainage.
