Kayoo Falls is located on Heather Creek about halfway between Powderkeg Falls and Seesoolk Falls and was a bit of a surprise when I found it. The creek above and below sort of meanders along at a leisurely pace and then suddenly Kayoo Falls appears like a phantom. "Kayoo" is a Salish word that means "ghost" so I thought the name was fitting. The waterfall is a beautiful, two-tiered drop beginning with a 17' horsetail and finishing with a nice 12' tall punchbowl into a small, deep pool of water. This waterfall has remained relatively clean compared to the others on the creek so it's a little prettier. There are a couple small, dead trees that hang over the lower tier, but it might be possible to strategically remove them. The other downside to this waterfall, photography wise, is that the clear view is really close to the waterfall so a wide angle lens is necessary to get the whole pool in a picture.
