Madison Falls occurs where an unnamed stream drops over the side of the Day Creek Gorge via a graceful 60' tall horsetail. Getting to the falls is very difficult and getting a good view is a dangerous proposition. If you can get to the bottom you will be treated to a nice show. I suspect in the summer the volume of the falls drops considerably but the creek drains a fairly large area so I would be shocked if it ever runs dry. The best time to visit this one is in the winter when the creek is running at its highest and other, bigger waterfalls are snowed in.
