From the moment it leaves Buckeye Basin at about 2200' elevation until it finally flattens out around 900' elevation, Buckeye Creek is essentially one, never-ending series of waterfalls. It becomes pretty difficult to separate it all, but I split the creek up into three major waterfalls and didn't bother naming everything else. I'll leave that job to the next person stupid enough to attempt the trip, because it's insanely tough.
Buckeye Falls is the first waterfall on the creek (after it leaves the basin) and is an absolute beast. We weren't able to find anywhere to see the whole thing clearly enough, but the creek drops about 375' in a series of four drops. The largest tier alone is 200' tall and spreads out to about 40' wide as it drops. I was shocked at both the size of the creek, as well as how steeply the falls dropped. Buckeye Falls was WAY better than I hoped. If only I could figure out a way to get a clear view. Helicopter time!!
