DIRECTIONS - Follow the directions for Jordan Creek Falls. Parts of Falls Lake Falls can be seen along the route to Jordan. In order to get a close view of the falls, cross Jordan Creek downstream from the falls and then head up the very steep hill towards the creek until you reach the base. You'll have to climb about 800' in the process. It's mostly open forest, but there are some sticker-y boulders to climb around as well.
Falls Lake Falls has the unfortunate situation of being the next door neighbor to massive Jordan Creek Falls. Parts of the waterfall can be seen en route to Jordan Creek Falls. These include the upper section located at the top of the massive cliff on the south side of the Jordan Creek Valley. This can be seen clearly, but distantly from the road. Near the base of Jordan Creek Falls, a fairly good view of the lower tier can also be seen.
I was finally able to reach the waterfall close up on my most recent trip. A clear view of the 252' tall lower section is possible. I climbed up the very, very steep side of the creek to try to get views of the upper parts. I found a couple locations where the upper tier(s) could be seen through the trees but no clear views. I eventually ran into a 40' nearly vertical cliff that I couldn't find a way around. It's probably possible to get around that cliff somehow and then the entire upper section should be visible. Because I couldn't get a clear view the 600' height is a very rough estimate. I measured 371' worth of waterfall, but there is certainly much more above that.
