DIRECTIONS - Drive east of Granite Falls on the Mountain Loop Highway. About 2.5 miles past the Verlot Ranger Station, turn down the road signed for the Lake 22 Trailhead. Start along the trail until the first bridge over Twenty-Two Creek. The falls are located about two miles from the trailhead.
Apron Falls is the final of five waterfalls along the Twenty-Two Creek trail as you work your way up the mountainside and, in my opinion, the best of the bunch. Twenty-Two Creek drops about 65' in a perfect fan shape, spreading out to about 50' wide at the bottom. The pictures I've seen of the falls at low volume lead me to believe it is even more beautiful late in the year, but during the peak snowmelt, this is one of the few falls that is very powerful, and very pretty at the same time.
