Olney Creek is a large volume creek near the town of Gold Bar. Near the end of its run, the creek harbors three substantial waterfalls. This is the middle and almost completely unknown of the three. Olney Creek runs through a deep and impressive canyon before tumbling 21' out of the canyon in this gorgeous cascade. The grotto around the falls is stunning with moss, ferns, and trees everywhere creating an almost Jurassic feeling to it. There is another smaller waterfall a little ways upstream as well, but you can't really get to it without climbing all the way out of the canyon and then back in.
The climb down to this waterfall is short, but it travels through thick swaths of stickers that are not at all enjoyable.
