DIRECTIONS - Drive along Highway 9 to the town of Acme and turn west onto Turkington Rd. Park at the pullout where Jones Creek runs under the road (first bridge, first corner). Begin heading upstream. The going is easy at first and then becomes increasingly difficult as the canyon tightens up. Total distance from the road is about 1/4 of a mile.
Jones Creek Falls is a small, rather ugly waterfall located just south of Acme. Jones Creek drops about 40' in two tiers: a 10' drop, followed by a nice 30' horsetail. The creek flooded massively in the winter of 2008-2009 and filled the creek below the falls with a massive amount of debris. Prior to this flood the falls may have been rather pretty. There may actually be more to the falls above this but I couldn't see anything from where I was. The best view of the falls would probably be from the left side of the creek, above the canyon. Either way, this is one waterfall that is probably not worth the effort of getting to.
Part of the journey into the falls may cross private property as there is an old shack of some sort at one point. There were no private property signs that I saw so I think you're OK visiting if you choose to.
