Pride Basin Falls is an absolutely amazing and very beautiful waterfall that drops into the east side of the Pride Basin. In fact, were this waterfall located almost anywhere else it would be the showstopper. Unfortunately, it has to compete with massive Pride Glacier Falls located next door and that simply isn't a fair fight. When you combine the two waterfalls, however, you get an amazing one-two punch that makes this one of the best locations around for off-trail waterfall fanatics.
The falls consist of three main sections. The first is a stunning horsetail drop that falls a total of 215' in back-to-back tiers of 119' and 96'. This drop is one of the prettier drops in the area and an experienced photographer could spend a lot of time here looking for different compositions. The creek then runs through some boulder cascades before plunging 29' over an undercut cliff. This middle tier provides one of the few opportunities in NW Washington to get behind a waterfall. Finally, the falls cascade for another 30' before emptying out into the valley.
